Crucial SSD Data Recovery

Crucial SSDs, made by Micron, have been among the most popular upgrade drives in the UK for over a decade. Micron announced in December 2025 that it was leaving the consumer market and stopped shipping Crucial-branded products in early 2026, but millions of Crucial drives remain in use – and we continue to recover data from all of them.

Many Crucial drives use Micron’s own flash with Silicon Motion or Phison controllers, and we hold loaders for the common controller families.

  • BX500 drives with DRAM-less controllers suddenly not detected or extremely slow
  • MX500 firmware problems – drive freezes or reports odd SMART values
  • Drive recognised with 0 bytes or wrong capacity after a power cut
  • P3 / P3 Plus QLC drives slowing badly and throwing read errors
  • Portable X-series drives damaged at the USB-C port

Before You Send It

Deleted files on SSDs: most SSDs use TRIM, which tells the drive to erase deleted blocks in the background. Once TRIM has run, deleted files usually cannot be recovered by anyone. If you have just deleted something from an SSD, shut the computer down straight away and contact us – the sooner we image the drive, the better the chance.
